Mountain Biking

The Mountain Biking in and around La Ventana is Awesome; There are now many miles of trails that have been built by intrepid seasonal residents as well as some of the locals. There is a trail network a few miles to our north, up past El Sargento, and another just to our south.

Most of the riding to the south is smooth and meandering; easy for beginners looking to get out into the incredible desert scenery. Keep an eye out for cactus on the sides of the trails; long sleeves are a good idea for this reason, as well as for sun protection. The trails to the north are more technical with fast and flowing downhills and lots of great scenery as well.

During the months of December, January, and February you probably want a full suit with short sleeves (3mm/2mm), especially if you get cold easily. Fo early and late season sailing a shorty or spring suit is fine. Bring gloves, booties and a helmet if you want them for sailing or kiting.

We have a fleet of recent GIANT Hardtail mountain bikes, ready to ride on all of the great trails near La Ventana/ El Sargento. Sizes from XS to XL in the XTC+, and Stance models in Carbon and Aluminum frames with 27.5" wheels, many with plus size rubber which is great for our trails.Kids bikes too!

Bikes are supplied with helmet, water bottle, & flat kit. There are loaner backpacks for your hydration bladder/ extra stuff. Bikes come with flat pedals but we are happy to put on your clipless pedals if you bring them and your shoes. We also have a few extra SPD pedal sets if you don't want to bring yours. Extra water bottles and gloves are available for purchase at the office.

Guests and daily renters are responsible for loss or damage to equipment. We do not have insurance available and expect you to treat the equipment as though it were yours. Use implies acceptance of responsibility for any gear damage.All prices are in US dollars and include VAT, Pesos taken at current exchange rate. Guests must sign risk waiver and provide credit card prior to rental.
